About Mandala

Mandala Mineral Cosmetics was developed by Skin Care Therapist, Leisha Jarrett BSs. Dip BT. After several years in the cosmetic industry, Leisha set up her own skin care business in Canberra. There was an obvious demand from clients for information about mineral make-up, what chemicals to avoid and how to best care for their skin.

It became clear that many of the so called ‘mineral’ make-up brands currently available were just on the mineral band-wagon and still contained either harmful or unnecessary ingredients. Aside from that, most brands were not Australian made, did not contain adequate levels of Zinc Oxide, had no policy on ethical production (no animal testing) or had a committment to environmental responsibility. After much research the decision was made to investigate creating her own product to offer her clients, that she could be 100% confident was manufactured to strict quality standards, was not tested on animals and could be considered green.

Twelve months later, Mandala was a reality. A suitable Australian manufacturer was found, quality formulas developed and a diverse and exciting product range was launched.

‘Mandala’ is a Sanskrit word referring to a circular design symbolising the universe. Mandala’s are used as an aid in meditation to access the ‘unconscious’ mind and to assist with transformation and healing on many levels.

Mandala hopes to inspire individuals to actively seek products that are non toxic, ethical and environmentally responsible. We all have the power to transform and heal our environments and ourselves and in doing so, contribute to global wellbeing.
